Time and Time again, A small percentage of men would step out of the norm to make their life better. In the past these men would forge new land, after removing themselves from their tribe or village. Once most of the usable land was acquired this spirit tried to find it's place in the growing world and was, for the most part, contained by the law of the land. Until... Something, something that may seem small and trivial to most, would burn in their gut keeping them awake at night trying to understand why. Why they had a deeper understanding of the issue, and what they thought was fair. They had to break free, run, but where? Then the tails of a new world, a land beyond their shores, out there, over there, one can be free. Therefore, with a great leap of faith, they made a home in the new world. Travel to this new world was epic and tragic, but they came... and so did the things they were running from.
Then after some time and great study of what had led them to this place. A completely new idea surfaced an idea that will not bind men, that will not enslave them to a leader, an idea that seemed to be in line with there creator, an idea that all men are FREE, Free to do as they please, what they pleased until they caused another to lose there freedom. This line in the sand is the most simple idea not unlike the golden rule. This small percentage of men would change the world forever. Now many years later there simple concept has all but faded in to the parchment.
Today there is no more new land, no place to run, and after the taste of freedom NO place to hide and hope that things will return to the ways of the past. Please keep in mind this small percentage of men, Men that understand the fairness of the ideas in the fading ink, Men that have an burning in there gut, Men that fill compiled to do something. Something without running, Something without new land, Something without new words. A Reboot of the current ones, keeping in mind the line in the sand -- I am free until you are not.
I am both, thankful and cursed, that I am part of this small percent of men.
